And here we are five years later…our life has changed.
People came, people went, and people got forgotten.
“Don’t you ever look back, you’ll freeze where you stand”, we were told.
And we, being obedient children, listened to them.
We listened to our mammy when she told us to always look ahead.
And that’s how we got to where we are today…where are we?
A couple of months ago a “traveler” friend of mine came back from an excursion. That same night I wondered:
<<…into the magic plains of peace the Knight turned to the window.
It was like he was talking high up to the sky, to the sun, to the moon, to the the life he never got to live.
-Why are you just sitting there, can’t you hear?
-The smell of travel got you back from the foreign lands?
-Do not listen to the storm of your melting soul.
-Keep your horny breath; I don’t need any companions of blood.
He never got an answer. Kisses from the dream never got to him. With the darkness, in the rain he walked for direction unknown. Evergreen ravines, deep blue seas, images unheard of. Nothing fulfilled him, no one was good enough for him.
-What are you looking for?
-You have to find out, or else what you’re looking for shall never find you.>>
Today I could add:
Ignorance provides safety, what you don’t know can’t hurt you.
Ignorance fills our life with mystery, an exploration stimulant.
Ignorance fits the brave ones; they are always ready for anything.
Conclusion? None, I give up. Back to bed…
